Data were collected during late March and early April of 2026 from the following locations:
Photos were taken of each plant or animal that was suspected to be a new species. Trees were ignored due to difficulty in identification. Data was then recorded in an Excel spreadsheet and turned into bar graphs to display the differences in species richness between areas.
Specific plots were recorded in each location.
The following is a graph with each location and their biodiersity treated separate
Figure 1. Number of species of plants found in different areas of British Columbia. Most species were found in Pacific Spirit Park and Redwood Park.
Figure 2. Number of species of aniamls found in different areas of British Columbia. Most speceis were found at White Rock Beach and Tower Beach.
These graphs showed the combined biodiversity of the beaches and the forests
Figure 3. Number of species of plants found in forested and beached areas of British Columbia. Most species were found in forested areas.
Figure 4. Number of species of animals found in forested and beached areas of British Columbia. Most species were found in beached areas.
